New content, including Buzz’s original story, is available as part of the Minecraft DLC based on the animated Pixar film Lightyear. Email The most recent Minecraft blog post described the Lightyear DLC as a “blocky intergalactic adventure,” which will include five missions. In these missions, players fight enemies with various tools and fight in hostile environments and fly a variety of aircrafts to avoid obstacles.
“In the Lightyear DLC, you’ll get to play through Buzz’s story of origin and assist him navigate an alien planet following a crash landing that was a disaster,” a part of the post states. You can play five missions with the hero of the Academy. These include a hostile jungle and swamp as well as a mine and numerous alien settlements.
The Lightyear DLC will also come with an exclusive Lightyear-themed Character Creator. It is currently unavailable on Nintendo Switch, but the blog post stated that it will be available on the console “soon.” Players who own other versions of Minecraft can download it for free as DLC on the stores of their respective consoles.
